Eligibility:There are no income or residency requirements.
Please note that the Family Court Self-Help Center will not assist persons who are represented by private attorneys.

Hours:Monday through Friday 8:30 am until noon (must sign-in before 11:40 am)
and afternoon -except Wednesdays- from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm (must sign-in before 4:10 pm).
The Self-Help Center is CLOSED to the public on Wednesday afternoons.

Staff will assist residents who live outside the Second Judicial District, but forms are only approved for the Second Judicial District Court - Family Division.

Mission:The Family Division of the Second Judicial District Court is committed to ensuring equal access to the legal process for all litigants involved in Family Court proceedings. For that purpose, the Family Court Self-Help Center provides information and resources to litigants who represent themselves and who would not otherwise have access to legal assistance or who choose to represent themselves, regardless of their financial status.
