Services:DVVAP, a project of Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevadans (VARN), provides pro bono (free) civil legal services for victims of domestic violence and abused and neglected children. The areas of services provided include divorce, child custody, guardianship, termination of parental rights, emergency assistance for hearings to modify or extend protection orders, crisis intervention and safety planning.
Target Population:Victims of domestic violence and abused and neglected children in most of Nevada's rural communities.

Eligibility:Victims of domestic violence and abused and neglected children.
Appointment Needed:Yes. To apply for services, please contact the DVVAP office. You will be screened and asked to complete a worksheet. Your information will then be reviewed and if it appears DVVAP may be able to assist you, you will be scheduled for an appointment with an attorney. Please immediately notify DVVAP if you need emergency assistance at a hearing to extend or modify a protection order or if you are served with or receive any legal documents from the abuser.
