Brief Description:Provides legal advocacy/assistance to person 60 years and older in civil areas of law including simple wills, long-term health care planning issues, consumer disputes and small claims instructions, intervention in elder abuse, landlord/tenant and mobile home problems, homesteads, social security problems and other government benefits problems. Also helps with preparation of documents for handling medical/legal issues in the event that the client is unable to do so.

Services:Preparation of simple wills, advance directives & power of attorney (documents for handling medical/legal issues in the event that the client is unable or does not want to do so), long term health care planning issues, consumer related issues, consumer disputes and small claims instructions, intervention in elder abuse, landlord/tenant and mobile home problems, homesteads, social security problems and other government benefits, termination of joint tenancy, legal advice, information and referrals. If you need an auxiliary aid, language assistance or special arrangements, please notify the agency when making an appointment. Senior Citizens Law Project counselors make visits to home-bound seniors when necessary
