Services:	The Consumer Services Section deals directly with all consumers by responding to a variety of requests for assistance. This includes answering questions with regard to policies, claims, companies, etc., as well as handling all consumer complaints. They help with all types of insurance problems including health insurance, auto insurance, homeowners insurance, title insurance, bail bonds and pre-need and funeral plans. Consumers can submit formal complaints by completing a complaint form http://doi.state.nv.us/CS-CompIndex.htm. Once a written complaint is received by the division, the Consumer Services staff act as a liaison and work with you and the company or agent to resolve the problem. They advise the insurance company or agent of their obligations under the insurance contract and make sure the law is followed. This agency also distributes brochures and other educational materials to help consumers with shopping for insurance. They are able to provide you with information about proper licensing of companies and agents, the number of complaints filed and other information.
