Services:The division handles complaints about misleading business practices. A written complaint must be filed with the agency. Complaint forms are available on the web at http://www.fyiconsumer.org/. After your complaint has been received and processed by the agency, your complaint is given to an investigator. The investigator checks to see if there is a possible violation of Nevada Law. If there is a possible violation, a copy of your complaint is sent to the business for a response. The investigation typically is completed within 60-90 days. The agency has the power to get restitution ("reimbursement") from businesses on a per case basis.
