Finding "the law"
What you need to know about finding "the law."
The law itself comes from the three branches of the government:
- Legislative - Nevada Legislature - US Congress
- Executive - Nevada Agencies - Federal Agencies
- Judicial - Nevada Supreme Court - US Supreme Court
So, in order to find "the law" you'll need to check all of these branches' publications to be thorough in your research. Normally, you can't just check one resource to find "the law."
You will likely need to visit a Nevada Law Library to look at the official copies of these materials and to do thorough research of Nevada case law.
